Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Townbeat you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app and delete your account.

2. Eligibility — 15+ Age Requirement

Per Türkiye's social media regulations, Townbeat is intended for users 15 and older. Age confirmation is required at registration; accounts identified as belonging to users under 15 will be permanently deleted. If you are under 18, you may use the app only with a legal guardian's consent. You represent that your information is accurate and that you are at least 15 years old.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Notify us of any unauthorized access. One account per user — multiple accounts may be terminated.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you share (comments, posts, photos, messages). You grant Townbeat a worldwide, royalty-free, revocable license to display, distribute, and moderate that content. When you delete your account, the license ends and the content is deleted.

5. Prohibited Conduct — Zero Tolerance

Townbeat enforces zero tolerance for the following content and behavior. A single violation may result in permanent account closure:

• Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats

• Sexual content, obscenity, child exploitation material

• Violence, self-harm, or terrorism propaganda

• False information, fake profiles, impersonation

• GPS spoofing / mock-location check-ins

• Spam, unauthorized advertising, fraud

• Copyright infringement, illegal content

• Hacking, reverse-engineering, or security circumvention

• Automated access (bots, scrapers) without permission

6. Content Moderation (UGC)

We actively moderate user-generated content:

• Report review time: 24 hours. Every UGC element (comment, message, post, profile, event) can be reported in-app with a single tap.

• An automated profanity / objectionable-keyword filter runs in real time; detected content is hidden or censored instantly.

• Upon a violation, we reserve the right to remove content, suspend, or permanently delete the account.

• Users you block can no longer see your profile, comments, or messages, nor can they send you reports.

• For urgent matters (child exploitation, violence threats, illegal content), email info.townbeat@gmail.com directly.

7. VIP Subscription

VIP subscriptions are purchased via Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew; cancellation is managed through store settings. Apple/Google refund policies apply. Material adverse changes will be announced and prorated refunds offered where required.

8. Location

Location is collected only while in use to show nearby venues and validate check-ins. You may revoke location permission at any time in device settings; some features will stop working.

9. Service Changes

Townbeat reserves the right to update, add, remove, or suspend features at any time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account.

11. Disclaimers & Liability

Townbeat is provided "as is". We are not responsible for meetings between users, third-party event venues, venue accuracy, or user-generated content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Exclusive jurisdiction: Istanbul Central Courts.

13. Changes

Updates are published with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
